We earn commission from retailer links

Verdictly is supported by affiliate commission. When you click a link on this site and go on to buy something, or request a quote, the retailer or provider pays us a percentage of the sale or a fixed fee for the referral. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is identical whether you arrive through us or type the address in yourself.

We participate in affiliate programmes operated by Amazon Associates, impact.com, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten Advertising, AvantLink, Partnerize and the eBay Partner Network, as well as a small number of direct programmes run by the retailers themselves.

What commission does not do

It does not change a rating. It does not decide which products we review, or which we recommend against. It does not reorder a price table: those are sorted cheapest first, always, and we earn broadly the same from any retailer in the list, which is precisely why we can afford to sort them that way.

Where a manufacturer runs no affiliate programme at all — Apple on hardware, and the Google Store — we still review their products on the same scale, and point the buy buttons at retailers that stock the identical item. We have never excluded a product from a review because it does not pay.

How to identify a paid link

Every outbound commercial link on this site carries a rel="sponsored" attribute and opens in a new tab. Pages that contain them show a disclosure directly above the price table, not buried in the footer. Our full method is documented on the how we rate page.

Reviews are our own opinion

No brand pays for a review, a score, or a place on this site, and no brand sees a review before it is published. Ratings reflect our own assessment of publicly available information, published test data and hands-on experience. They are opinion, offered in good faith, and you should treat them as a starting point rather than the final word.

Vehicle referrals

In the vehicles category we do not sell cars and we are not a dealer or a broker. Those links refer you to a marketplace or dealer network, who handle the pricing, the sale and everything after it. We are paid a flat referral fee, not a share of the vehicle price, so we have no financial interest in which car you end up buying or what you pay for it.

What we do not cover

We deliberately do not publish insurance or credit card comparisons. Verdictly is not a licensed insurance producer, broker, lender or financial adviser, and nothing here is financial, insurance, tax or legal advice. We would rather leave a lucrative category alone than operate one we are not properly licensed and qualified to run.
