The Home Flex adapts to whatever amperage your panel supports, which means it moves with you to a different house or a different car. Scheduling around off-peak electricity rates is where the real saving is.
Installation by an electrician is a genuine cost on top of the unit, and the cable is stiff in cold weather. Utility rebates often cover a large share of the total.
