Garmin's training load and recovery metrics are genuinely actionable in a way Apple's are not, the AMOLED screen finally matches rivals, and the battery runs to about two weeks in smartwatch mode.
The app ecosystem is thin, the interface is dated, and it looks like a sports watch because it is one. For running and cycling specifically, nothing else comes close at this price.
