Water boils faster than on any residential gas burner, the response to a dial change is immediate, and the flat surface wipes clean without lifting grates. Removing combustion also removes its byproducts from the room, which matters more in a small kitchen than most people realise.

Two real costs. Only magnetic cookware works, so some of your pans are going to the charity shop, and the range needs a 240V circuit, which means an electrician if you are coming from gas. Price both before comparing it to a gas range.
