The RAV4 Hybrid is the vehicle we would recommend to someone who does not want to think about their vehicle again for a decade. Real-world economy lands around 40 mpg combined, the hybrid system is the most proven in the industry, and resale value after five years leads the class.
The interior is plain and the cabin is noisy at highway speed. Dealer markups have been a persistent problem, which is exactly why getting an upfront price before you walk in matters here more than on almost any other vehicle.
