- Seat foam is firmer than the Aeron mesh and you feel it past six hours
- Fabric seat holds heat that a mesh seat would let out
Our review
Steelcase put its flagship warranty on its entry chair, which tells you how confident it is in the frame. The weight-activated recline sets its own tension, so there is no dial to get wrong, and the 4D arms and adjustable lumbar are the two things cheap chairs always omit.
The compromise is the seat. Foam is firmer than the Aeron mesh and you feel it past the six-hour mark, and the fabric holds heat that mesh would let out. For a working day rather than a marathon, it is the best value in office seating.
